My heart is aching for you and your family, Jen. My father-in-law needed hospice around Easter. It was a difficult time for the family watching him suffer, yet we were comforted seeing the peace on his face as he knew our Lord was calling him home very soon.
Please know my prayers will be with you, your family, and Chris.

Jen, I just saw this on Saturday. I offered your intentions at Easter Mass yesterday, and will continue to hold Chris, the kids, and your whole family in my prayers. and  for you! May Jesus pour out his mercy on all of you !

I'm so touched by your generosity!!!!!
Our Easter visit was not without its challenges, but my oldest daughter did get to visit with Chris for a bit, and I'm so thankful that this opportunity presented itself naturally and easily.
There is such beautiful evidence of God's tender and quiet grace given to Chris in the moment - what an Easter blessing to witness such grace that prepares Chris and nourishes his soul for this final stretch! Deo gratias!!!
I'll continue to help my mom and dad out as I'm able, and my sister lives near them, so she is a great help to my folks!
Friends, please continue to pray for Chris, for a holy and peaceful death. May God's holy will always and everywhere be accomplished! Alleluia!!

Praying for your entire family, and especially for Chris, Jen. God is so gracious and good! Chris is getting closer and closer to what our pastor told us on Easter Sunday is the true and wondrous Reality of Easter! Death is not the end..it is only the beginning! Those who understand, and embrace death with that knowledge, are incredibly and eternally blessed!
