Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Rachel, here seems to be a reasonably good priced pan that you can get in the US (the previous link I gave was an Australian site). I wonder if they are wholesale only though, I couldn't work it out.

Well, Sharyn, I already have a pullman pan. I was just wondering if anyone had used them, lol.

I've had the glass pans, and they just don't work well for sandwich bread for us. I don't know if it is the slicing, or the size, the recipe, or what, but DH and the children just won't eat sandwiches made from bread from those pans. Hence, the pullman pan.

Hence, my questions. LOL.

Rachel

I do want to start saving even more by purchasing wheat berries in bulk and grinding them myself. Most mills seem expensive though, so I have not done that yet.

After much research this winter I bought the grain mill attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer. I love it! It was the least expensive motorized option I could find. And our Walmart carries chemical free and non-gmo wheat berries in 25# bags for less than $13. That's better than half the price I was paying at Whole Foods.

Hey Kelly! It's good to "see" you here!

I agree with Celeste! Artisan Bread in 5-minutes a day :) The kids love it. Even my pickiest eater will eat this bread.

Here is an article: http://www.motherearthnews.com/Real-Food/Artisan-Bread-In-Fi ve-Minutes-A-Day.aspx

It includes the basic recipe for it if you want to try it. You do need to have room in the fridge for the dough, however. But it is very worth it, it is sooo good.
