Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Could we have prayers for today? My son is doing his first oral challenge for wheat this morning. We'll see if he's still allergic or can tolerate without any reaction.

I'm a bit anxious, and trying to not transfer any of that to him. Thanks!

===================
3/22/11
After 3 weeks of slowly introducing wheat, my son has developed a delayed acute reaction, so we're back to avoidance.

We're dealing okay...prayers would be appreciated that he feels better soon, and not so itchy. We're hoping to do dairy next week, but that all depends if he clears up.

Thanks, everyone!

============
3/31 update

He had his dairy challenge today, and couldn't get past the first stage, which is putting the milk on his tongue. He reacted immediately.

So, we're back to square one, total avoidance of eggs, wheat, and milk.

Thanks for the prayers. We're really disapointed, and I hope I can rally him a bit.

Jenn, I *know* how tough that is! I will pray for strength for you, and a successful challenge for him.

Praying for a peaceful mother's heart.

It's been a VERY Long day, but a good day. He seemed to pass the challenge, with reservations. I'm watching to see if there are any delayed reactions, but I think it's going to be okay to consume wheat. I'm just thrilled he will be able to receive Jesus in the Host!

I'm still not completely relaxed or ready to say it's complete...but so far, so good.

Oh Jenn! Praying it continues to be good! Even wheat once in a while would be a huge blessing, wouldn't it? So excited for your whole family!

Oh, Jenn, what a dream come true! I am so very thankful today's challenge went so well!

Hugs for you and your son - I am sure it was a stressful day - but it was a wonderful first step for him.
