Being a stay at home mom can be a very lonely thing. I know I have those same problems. I try to do a playdate a couple of times a month at least with another mom just to have human contact! I know your kids are older though. Just know that I am praying for you. I have been there and I hope you feel better soon!

We had a great homeschool Valentine's party. It was so nice to get out of the house, although part of my trouble is, I often don't feel well enough to get out and about, but the day of the party I was feeling real good.
Right now we are in the midst of a fight with the insurance company over my RA medicine. They will pay, and I will get it, eventually. At least 2 weeks late....so I am really having a bad flare-up right now, and I was starting to feel better.
It's very hard to get around today, and if I overdo it, which I did earlier today, I get into big trouble...and how do I not "overdo it" with so much going on around here?
On the loneliness front, I am trying to stay in contact with folks and get out of the house a little bit when I can.
Thank you all so much for the many prayers, I really appreciate it, and I often think about you all and offer up some of my troubles to you all.

Joann,
I was so glad to hear from you! I'm so glad God blessed you with a lovely St. Valentine's day and the ability to enjoy some good company and visiting. Sometimes that is such a lift to my spirits!
Your intentions are never far from my heart, friend!

I am grateful that you spent a nice day with friends!
I know (to a tiny degree) what it's like to overdo and then pay later. Praying that the pain will be minimal until the medicines come!

Joann,
Sorry to hear you are so lonely. I know the feeling though! You can feel lonely in a crowd or with so many people around you. Sometimes there is nothing like a good friend to chat with and share a good laugh with. We too have had to limit our socializing this past year or two due to our son. He was immuno compromised too due to having had RSV at the age of 2 months. He picks up everything and it always goes right to his lungs and it can get scary at times! So, we had to just batten down the hatches and close the doors. I struggle with feeling left out too as homeschoolers have co-ops, feast day get togethers and recreation at the local YMCA, but as a parent, we have to do what we have to do. And, there are seasons in life. I have learned a lot about myself during this time. I have tried to be at peace with where we are, and it does make you appeciate your relationships you do have more. I tend not to call other homeschool moms because I am always afraid that I am "interupting things", and I probably am, but frankly, if someone calls me, I usually welcome the interuption! I think the advice to reach out and call someone was a good one, and maybe you could personally go out on a Sat. morning with a good friend or some evening? You probably won't personally pick up the germs going out alone with a mom who is alone like the little kids who are the real danger zones for that. It's the kid mixing that is usually the issue. So, that would give you something to look forward too, and a happy mom usually makes for a happy hubby too. I am sure he would love for you to get out and about a bit!
Prayers for you.

Joann,
I've been thinking about you and praying. I hope you are feeling better (although it sounds like the injections are painful).

Thank you so much for the prayers.
I have been feeling better. I'm sure it has something to do with the occasional sunshine we are receiving.
I try to get out of the house a little more now that there isn't as many germs floating around.
The RA still gives me day to day challenges, but I think the new meds--(complete with yucky side effects) are beginning to kick in---so I should be able to enjoy daily walks, which are great for both mind and body.
Thanks again for all the prayers....you are all truly "prayer warriors"
