Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

got a pack meeting tonight (how many times can I say that? I guess it's so I don't forget ) so I'll have to save the wine for a before bed treat.. maybe with my book.. in front of the fire.. probably with a baby in my lap

I decided on mashed potatoes and green beans and french bread to go with the roast.. beef roast seasoned with salt and pepper, celery seed, garlic, and rosemary

Didn't realize dh needs to be gone even sooner.. he may have a roast on french bread sandwich

But the potatoes are cooking and I found the green beans in the freezer.. so they'll be easy to start soon.

Jodie, that sounds Heavenly!! Wine. Fire. Baby in lap. You can't get any better than that!

I'm drinking my wine now, while I'm taking a break. I'm going to pull all the books from the book shelves once I'm done and clean and rearrange them.

Is the tea ... or wine, is it? ... party still in gear? I'm up for it! Just have to get this youngest to his morning nap. Hmmm, I'm supposed to run and shower if he naps long enough. When he wakes up, we'll have leftover ziti for lunch. At that time I'm hoping to hear all about my husband's negotiations for a new job!

After we clean up from lunch, we'll study Van Eyck and create a triptych as well as a page for our scrapbook.

It has been disappointingly warm, snowing-and-melting winter season. We didn't even have enough snow to build a snowman! But it most certainly has been gray enough.

DH came home and made dinner for me. Well...breakfast for dinner...eggs, hasbrowns (home made), bacon, sausage, and tea.

AND THEN...

He went out into the cold of the night and bought us a pint of Ben and Jerry's to share...

The kids actually went to bed by 9pm! (The last week has been at least 10:30pm...and then a straggler in our bed...) We had alone time. Woohoo!

Had Ben and Jerry's while watching "The Office." Needed that break...

that sounds lovely Maggie

I read a book to the kids.. it was nice.. I had a glass of wine to sip.. my 10 yr old cuddled the 2 yr old and when he fell asleep my oldest boy carried him off and tucked him into bed.. then she cuddled the 4 yr old and got her to sleep as well

several of the others kept the baby entertained without being too loud..

Then I did get to sit in front of a fire with the baby asleep on my lap while I sipped wine, nibbled on some french bread and read my book.

I had to wait until today but I had tea in person with an old forum member

Our kids played and ate pizza and we knitted, sipped and laughed Annie
