Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello everyone! My name is Rachel, I am a stay-at-home Catholic mother to my 5 children, ds(9), dd(7), dd(5), dd(3), and ds(1). I homeschool my 3 oldest children. This year will be mine and my husband's 10 year wedding anniversary. I began homeschooling when my oldest son was in first grade and my oldest daughter was in kindergarten. Although I want to pull out my hair most days, I know at the end of every day that this is where God wants me to be!

Hello Michelle,

I'm from Germany and am living in New York now. In case you have any "German" questions, I might be able to help you out.

Hi Jmea!

In my experience, your 6th grader will need more of your seat time and your 5 year old will take more of your running around time. You should have a great year once you find your balance - just enjoy yourself and your time with your kids!

My name is Mary and I am so happy to be finally introducing myself to all of you! My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years and God has blessed us with three beautiful gifts. Our daughter is 6 years old and she is big sister to 2 brothers, ages 4 and 3.

I use to be a Catholic school teacher before having children and knew I wanted to be a full time homeschooling mom once we had children. Convincing my husband wasn't the challenging part. Living with one income has proved to be the roughest. God's goodness is overwhelming though!

I've been a lurker for over a year but have been a bit shy about joining and introducing myself. My family has been an amazing support system for me; however, it's been difficult finding a Catholic support group in my area. That makes it quite lonely doing this all by myself. I feel so blessed to be a part of this forum and around such gifted and encouraging women to help me on this journey!

I've recently had some health issues and my dear sister, who's strength and faith has been such a blessing and inspiration, placed a prayer request on the forum on my behalf. I am at a loss for words by your compassion and generosity to offer prayers for someone you have never met. I've been battling this for almost 10 years, with the last 3 being in remission. This is the first time I've had to deal with it while raising and teaching my 3 little ones. It has been your prayers and kindness that has helped me over the last several weeks to adjust to this new way of living. A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who prayed on my behalf!

Blessings,
Mary

Ummmm .... *HOW* did I miss this?    But I knew it was you, my dear sister, when I saw your name on a post and then I had to trace you back to your introduction . Glad you're here! Glad I saw your introduction ... you must have thought I was ignoring you ...no such thing!   Love you, Mary

Hello. I'm a homeschooling mom of 6 ages 10,9,7,5,4 and 11 mo. I joined a few years ago but only recently started to really read here. I have a few friends that are here as well. My husband and I were both homeschooled in high school and are really enjoying our children now.

Hello to you all,

I am greatful to be a part of the forum. I've been reading posts over the past few weeks and wanted to join! What a great group. I'm thankful to have found you all.

My husband and I have been married for 15 years (how did that go by so fast?!). We have 5 with us: ds 12, dd 10, dd 9, ds 5, and ds almost 2, and one in Heaven. We've been homeschooling since day one with K, and am so glad that God brought us to this adventure; I have so much to learn!!

I'm looking forward to participating and learning more on the forum.

Mary

Hi! My name is Lisa. I'm almost 30 and a SAHM to Mary (2.5y/o) and Philip (9mo). I plan to home school all the children God entrusts me with. I've been trying to home preschool Mary in hopes that it will help me be a better home schooler when she needs me to be! :) I'm a Catholic convert from Protestantism. My friend, Monica (Jawgee) from another forum told me about this forum and I'm extremely grateful to her for that! I look forward to learning from all of you!

Hi! My name is Maura. I've been married to Greg for 12 years and we have six children, ages 11, 8, 8, 6, 3, and 9 months. We've been homeschooling from the beginning.

We live near Grangeville, ID, a town of about 3000. Having grown up in the suburbs of Houston, and then living in Seattle in the early years of our marriage, rural Idaho is definitely a change! While there are many lovely things about living here, I miss having the support of other Catholic homeschoolers -- there's so much to be gained when you can share the journey with others!

Thanks and God bless all of you!

Maura

Hello- I am Angelina from Southern Maryland. I have been married to a wonderful faith-filled hubby for 8 years. My daughter is 7 and son is 5. I am brand new to Home Schooling. Currently, trying to wade through all the curriculum choices and purchase for next Fall. Also, trying to figure out where to keep it all in our little cottage! I am considering enrolling in St. Thomas Aquinas or a similar program. Thanks in advanced for the prayers, support and friendship
