Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi! My name is J and my DH and I have decided to start homeschooling our children after this school year is done. I have A 8yrs and J 3yrs, and we will be using Kolbe. I am located in Georgia, and while homeschooling is not that odd here, Catholic homeschooling seems to be somewhat odd. :) lol!

I am looking forward to participating here! Thanks for having me!

Welcome! (I homeschooled in WV, where Catholic homeschooling was definitely odd. I can totally empathize!)

Welcome to all the new members! I am so happy I found this forum which has introduced me to wonderful way of educating my children. The archives (access through searching) are a treasure chest full of wonderful advice and resources. If I'm researching a book, a time period, or other home/mom issues, I always check here first.

Hi! I'm Canadian homeschooler, I am currently homeschooling 3 of my 4 kiddos, and will be homeschooling the 4th part time next year(grade 12).

The kids are 7, 12(tomorrow), 14 and 16.

I have recently returned to the Church after a long time searching. A cradle Catholic, but now I'm educating myself and the kids as we go ;)

I found this forum through the catholic.com website.

Hi! My name is Veronica and I am in my second year of homeschooling my daughters. It was definitely God's idea, but our family is enjoying it and we are glad this was His plan for us. My children are "just turned" 4 (a wild monkey boy), 11 (ballerina girl) and 12.5 (also a ballerina girl). I'm trying to teach my 4 year old and my girls are 5th & 6th grades. Prior to homeschooling, they were in Catholic school. We're still finding our groove, but we are doing well.

My name is Mary and I am so happy to be finally introducing myself to all of you! My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years and God has blessed us with three beautiful gifts. Our daughter is 6 years old and she is big sister to 2 brothers, ages 4 and 3.

I use to be a Catholic school teacher before having children and knew I wanted to be a full time homeschooling mom once we had children. Convincing my husband wasn't the challenging part. Living with one income has proved to be the roughest. God's goodness is overwhelming though!

I've been a lurker for over a year but have been a bit shy about joining and introducing myself. My family has been an amazing support system for me; however, it's been difficult finding a Catholic support group in my area. That makes it quite lonely doing this all by myself. I feel so blessed to be a part of this forum and around such gifted and encouraging women to help me on this journey!

I've recently had some health issues and my dear sister, who's strength and faith has been such a blessing and inspiration, placed a prayer request on the forum on my behalf. I am at a loss for words by your compassion and generosity to offer prayers for someone you have never met. I've been battling this for almost 10 years, with the last 3 being in remission. This is the first time I've had to deal with it while raising and teaching my 3 little ones. It has been your prayers and kindness that has helped me over the last several weeks to adjust to this new way of living. A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who prayed on my behalf!

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Mary and Veronica, and welcome!

Mary, it's a privilege to pray for you. Please don't hesitate to ask for prayers at any time.

Hello. My name is Heather and I have been looking at the boards on and off for years so I figured maybe I should finally join. :) I live in PA and have been married just shy of 12 years. We have four children, two girls and two boys, ages 11, 8, 5 and 1. We have been homeschooling since the beginning. We primarily follow the Mater Amabilis curriculum but do throw in a few other things here and there. I look forward to chatting with all of you.

Nique, I was just coming to say the same thing!!!

Since I was off for Lent I wanted to come and welcome all the new Moms to the boards. Don't forget to use the Search feature on the top bar to research some great information if you want something specific. I remember it took me a couple of months to find that and was then BLOWN AWAY by the amount of information I found.

Welcome Ladies!

Hi, I'm Monica, a SAHM to four little ones. I am currently homeschooling my 5YO using CHC. In the fall, I will begin homeschooling my 9YO as well (still deciding on a curriculum).

My other two children are busy toddlers.

Thanks so much for such an informative and friendly forum!

Hi, I'm also new here. I'm Brandi, married to Paul. We have two kids, DD who is 8 and DS who is 4.

DH and I were going through RCIA this year but we just weren't ready to be official as of the Easter vigil. We're going to start again next fall and in the meantime, the whole family is trying to learn as much as we can.
