Thanks for this information! My dc really enjoy the F&F readers too, but I have to admit I was concerned with the 1st grader reader that my ds is using. I believe sight words are beneficial, but I'm big on phonics. I saw the emphasis on sight words and wondered if I should even use the other two 1st grade readers with this ds. He really needs to apply the phonics rules he is learning. Knowing that they start to apply the phonics is good. It makes more sense to me.

I wanted to thank you for posting that code. I hadn't read the e-mail and almost missed it.

I was on the fence about buying these, but with the discount I decided to go
ahead. I bought several, and so far my children are very happy reading them.

They are just reading them for fun in their free time, but they are enjoying them so much. And my mother, who is 75, picked one up and said, "It's Anne and David and Timmy! I remember them."

She used these when she was in school

How sweet

I'm currently using them with my 6th reader and she is amazing me with how well she is flying through them! There is something so precious about them, and I am fortunate enough to own the copies my siblings used which are hardback, coloured copies.   I'm enjoying my visit with David, Ann and Timmy again.
