Thank you for your prayers, ladies. It seems that the problems bothering me are very real but must be endured. Talking about my feelings with my husband did not go well at all.
The way God is answering my prayers this week is by making me count my blessings instead of my problems - one friend, just after having her fifth, has had her toddler diagnosed with a disease that will require him to wear braces on his legs. Another friend is helping her friend leave an abusive husband today. Please pray for them!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Thank you again. I do pray for the intentions here although I don't always chime in - I am usually reading on my iPhone where I am not logged in!

Tracy,
Prayers for peace of mind and soul. Take your burdens to Christ for now, not husband. Once He helps you through the bulk of them, then your husband will probably be more helpful in that he won't feel overwhelmed or feel as if he is bearing the brunt of your frustrations. (Projecting my own experiences here! They ARE only human after all and not able to do all things as Christ is. So tempting to dump it all of them though. I don't know the situation of course, but the only person we can change is ourselves. ) Also, as you already mentioned, dwell on the gifts and blessings. Mix it up a bit? Maybe a touch of winter blues? Have some fun with the kids...listen to some of your favorite music and take the day off for a baking day or whatever your idea of fun is. Maybe you need a teacher work day, or two! Also don't be so hard on yourself. Perfectionism is always my demon. The devil is good at what he does...discouraging the homeschool mom. I have heard this story time, and time, and time again, and experience it myself. Fight back with joy! And, an oldie but goodie 12 step slogan.."Act as if". Even if you don't "feel" a certain way..."Act as if" Often, the reality will follow.
Not trying to make a real problem simple, but at least hoping to bolster you during the storm!

I am sorry, Tracy, and am praying for you and your family and friends! I have been trying to focus on my blessings lately too. Sometimes the negative thoughts are so overwhelming that I have to praise God and start naming off my blessings out loud. That helps a little. May the Holy Spirit guide your words and your timing so that you and your husband will grow in understanding. May He continue to give you strength.

Just wanted to stop in and thank everyone for their prayers. Things are going much, much better with both marriage and homeschooling. I can only credit your prayers and God's grace. I am strengthened and enlightened about what what God is calling me to do in my vocation. Blessings to all of you!

So wonderful to hear Tracy! May it continue and increase!
Aren't the prayers of these ladies powerful? I have asked for very similar prayers here and also felt the power of God work through these wonderful women!

This is wonderful, Tracy! Deo gratias! Prayers of thanksgiving and I'm adding my prayers to Amy's - that God continues to strengthen you and offer you His grace and direction, and that both your marriage and your efforts in home education are blessed!

That is great news Tracy!
It is comforting after crawling through darkness to pop your head up and see a glimpse of a warm, wonderful ray of light! Praise God!

Wonderful! God is good!
When I start to doubt myself, my life, etc. I try to pray:
Jesus I trust in you.
Jesus I trust in you.
Jesus I trust in you.
