Please say a prayer that my dad's heart valve replacement goes well. He is 69 and had a liver transplant 4 years ago. That always complicates things. His surgery is scheduled for Dec. 28th. We are blessed to be able to be with him that week.

Praying throught he intercession of St John of God, patronm of heart patients....and Giancarlo Rastelli...a heart surgeon up for beatification.
this is the surgery my dd will be having soon...and has had twice already.
St Philomena has been awesome for us as well.....I tied a St Philomena "rope" around her waist as soon as she was done with surgery and blessed her with the St P holy oil.

My dad's surgery is tomorrow morning. He has a cold (thanks to my kids  ) so this complicates things a bit. Please pray it goes well. Thank you!

Janette's father underwent the valve replacement surgery this morning and the initial feedback afterward was positive. The doctor said that the affected valve was in worse shape than previously thought and that it was very good that he did not wait.
This afternoon, however, the medical staff determined that he was still bleeding internally (abnormally), and the doctor said that they needed to open him up again in hopes of determining, and addressing, the cause.
We just received a call from Janette's mother saying that the 2nd surgery was completed, but the doctors were unable to determine the cause of the bleeding. They intend to keep his blood pressure low in hopes that the issue will resolve itself.
Continued prayers for him and the family are most appreciated.
Also pray for Janette, who has been more-or-less bedridden with flu-like symptoms today and unable to be with her mother at the hospital.

Tim, we will be praying for his speedy recovery, no more complications, praying for Janette as well, I can't imagine how she must be feeling when so sick!
