Final thought from me this evening:
Filmstrips.

This was so much fun to read! Tell me, do you think that we could actually have some kind of IM chat in the future...like a real time conversation with fingers??

Need to double check with, Tim. I think we might have to do it someplace outside of this forum though.

Good grief! I was all tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle (it is WAY too cold here) - and I was told that I had an email about a retreat with John Thornton, Mr Darcy and all of you lovely ladies at 4real. I have hot footed it downstairs to the computer. Not read through all the pages - but going to pour myself a cup of good Yorkshire tea (friend just visited), fill a plate with cranberry white chocolate shortbread, (just baked today) and get comfortable. I don't know how to post pictures - but I will be bringing Roger Hamley. (Wives and Daughters)
OK - I am supposed supposed to be on retreat AWAY from the computer - but there was way too much temptation with this....goodness with Mr. Darcy, John Thornton and Roger Hamley all in one place with cookies and tea...
Hugs to all you dear ladies. I miss you all. Not sure if I will be back but you are always in my prayers and thoughts.

So another moment of confession.... I not only don't T-Tap, I've forgotten what it is beyond something exercise related based on someone's name. (I did look into it at the recommendation of a dear friend, but my memory is truly jumbled and terrible. )
Nancy -- filmstrips?? I love them and am distraught because our "projector" lens cracked and the bulb broke during our move. But what do you mean?? I must have missed something. Oh wait! Is this an age thing? Guess I'm dating myself too.... And I might as well add that eight tracks were a big part of my childhood along with Captain and Tenille and the Partridge Family. I swooned over Sean Cassidy and even had a lovely shiny blue jacket with his face plastered on it. I wore it proudly to the roller rink...

I would check into Yahoo Instant Messenger for a real time chat.. they have a version online so that you don't have to download any program just create a free account.. though those with the program d/l can use that too.

Janette, it's definitely an age thing...
And, Marilyn, it's lovely to see you!

Hey, Marilyn!!!! So good to see you! I'm taking the liberty of intro'ing your visitor:
And.... I'm off to Confession with the fam. Lovely evening last night, ladies! Sorry I couldn't stay longer. We'll have to do this again.

Michele, could younger (like 8,9) year-olds see The Young Victoria? We can get it on instant movies and I really want to see it, but it has to be something we can all watch. What do you think?

Well its rated PG. There's one quick scene when they are married and on their honeymoon but it's very quick and beautifully done. There's a shooting at one point but they don't actually show it so that's OK.
Does anyone else who has seen it remember anything that might be problematic?

Dh and I were so pleased at how wonderful the movie was, so tasteful, costumes amazing.
Dh thinks it would be heavy. Victoria's mother has a gigolo who is controlling and dominant to Victoria. Nothing is shown, but implied. There are some violent scenes -- not overly, but provides shock because he is rough to the Princess.
