Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our Christmas / New Year cards will have a new "look" to them this year.    DH wants everyone to wear their CAMO in honor of the male-addition to the family!

So, the girls and I are in our Purple and Pink CAMO shirts. And, "the boys" are in their Woodland CAMO.    Yes....yes.... ...I know....PURPLE, PINK and ARMY GREEN....How LOVELY!!!!!

So, we need some pithy, funny phrase to grace our card....preferably clever and funny, of course....which is why I'm coming to y'all!

So......brainstorm away.....any ideas? Any and all ideas welcome!!!!

I can't wait to see! You ARE going to share, aren't you? This sounds just lovely!

I am so not original when it comes to things like this...ask the kids what they think! My ds is no help, he is amused and chanting, "coming soon to a bunker near you!" LOL

I keep wanting to come back to the whole camo making you blend in, invisible type of thing..

ETA maybe something like

There's no way to hide our joy at the birth of our new baby boy.

Hmmm...

We're hunting for words to describe/express our great joy at the safe arrival of ....
(Baby Gallus) on December 9, etc

Or. along Jody's lines...
We can't hide how happy we are to welcome the newest member of the Gallus family...

Only in America, Erin!!

OK, I know this is totally corny, but it's late and all I can think of is:

"Peace on earth, goodwill to MEN!" (Thanking God for the new little man in our family)

I was thinking along the lines of hiding/blending in as well (and like the above suggestions ) OR

~Look who's blending right into the Gallus family

~Can you spot our newest little family member?

~Can you spot the newest Gallus?

~Can you spot our newest little hunting partner?

Plays on words or including hunting terms

~"Camo" on over and meet the newest Gallus

~Our newest addition is high caliber

~Our newest little hunting partner is high caliber

~The big sisters are setting their sights on a new baby brother (with all the girls staring at him lovingly)

These would be more military than hunting related:

~Look who's joined the ranks

~Our latest recruit

Or last thoughts...

~Finally...a young BUCK!
~Surprise...a young BUCK joins the Gallus herd!

(or changed to other animals based on animal preference, gander...flock; bull...herd; etc.)

He has to be a rooster and he has to join the flock. Gallus means 'chicken'.

Those are all so clever!

All I can think of that hasn't been suggested in order to make it Christmassy and not just a birth anouncement would be to use one of the pithy sayings above and then add, "Merry Christmas to All Our Deer Ones" or "...to Our Deerest" or some other play on deer/dear.

I did a google search, and while there are some clever images for "hunting Christmas cards," (reindeer in crosshairs ) pithy sayings are at a minimum.

I did however come across these shotgun shell Christmas cards that made me think of your Pete It would be fun if you could find a place to get an image like that to put with your photo on a card.

I hope you at least took the picture of everyone with Pete's string of shotgun shell Christmas lights in the background!!

I was thinking "Look what we bagged this year!"

But that's really not Christmassy. LOL

And as I was trying to fall asleep last night I had all this "Camo"-tion going on in my head:

~What's all the "camo"-tion at the Gallus house?

~As you can see there is quite a "camo"-tion at our house this year!

~See what's causing all the fuss and "camo"-tion at our house!

~Nothing like a little baby boy to start a "camo"-tion!
