After a year, I am finally having the ugly, horrible, and sometimes painful bunion removed! I am so thankful, but also a little apprehensive as it involves a spinal and apparently quite a bit of pain.  And I will not be able to drive for awhile.
There are so many bigger issues on the forum, but if you could spare a prayer that all goes smoothly tomorrow, I would really appreciate it. And after I heal, I will be shopping for new shoes and  maybe even  .
Update Feast of St. Lucia
It was not so bad. The doctors and staff were great and very sympathetic. I had to be wheeled around, but learned to use crutches and walk up stairs on crutches. And not too much pain, more of an uncomfortableness because
I HAVE A CAST!
This is so exciting for me as I have never had a cast. And yes, I am having everyone sign it. I am sure the nurses thought I was loony.  I wear the cast for 6 weeks which means it is taken off on my ds' 18th birthday (unless of course, I heal quicker). So I am hobbling around the house, but in general, feeling pretty good.
Thank you to everyone for the prayers. I know that they helped me through this as I was so worried about the pain (yes, I was a wimp about it)!

Sorry. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 9:00 GMT. Thanks for the prayers!

Carole, since it is currently 9am at my house...I am sure your surgery is way over with! Hope it all went well and that you heal quickly!!!
