Thank you, Thank you EVERYONE!!!! For your prayers and for your congratulations! He is truly loved  and just so darn CUTE! 
Julius Peter Michael Gallus Jr. arrived yesterday, December 9 at 9:12. So, 12/9 at 9:12...isn't that cool? We'll call him "Michael." Pete's dad is "Julius Peter" and his grandpa is "Julius Peter Michael"....and this little boy is the only male of the family so far (of Pete's German father)...so we thought we'd keep on with the name.
I was in weird-horrible-labor (I guess it's technical term is PRODROMAL LABOR...but I like my term better  ) all night/day on December 7/8...and we really thought he'd come sometime on Wednesday the 8th. I couldn't walk anywhere without Pete helping me and I was so miserable the whole time. But nothing "regular" was happening.
The midwives arrived at about 4:30 pm but then everything stalled....I had a sleepless night on Wed., contrax every 10-20 minutes all night, and having to shift positions all the time.  . The midwives stayed overnight, (as we were all a bit cautious from the last one's FAST birth), then left at about 6:30 AM when I was STILL at only 3 cm. 
About an hour later at about 7:40 am I started having STRONG contrax very close together and I thought my water broke.....and all of a sudden wanted to push. So we called them back. One got here about 20 minutes later and then the main-midwife got stuck in traffic coming back toward us (toward Seattle)...so she arrived at about 8:45 am, checked me...was dilated to 5...she did her "magic" and I dilated to 10 within minutes....and he was born at 9:12.
Oldest dd, Madeleine, "caught" him with the midwife-Charlotte coaching----perhaps we have a midwife-in-the-making! She was right at the action during the whole thing and is so proud that she even got "splashed" when the water broke right before pushing...
He weighed 7# 10 oz. and is doing GREAT. He took pity on his mama and came 2.5 weeks early! The midwife said from a couple "signs" she saw that my due date wasn't off....he was truly early and just good size and ready. Gotta like that!
The other girls all came back around 2:30 pm and WHISKED him away! There are a couple pictures on my blog.
Pete is flexible with work, so he's around now for the next week, and then my sister gets here next Sunday!  The girls are having party-time with another homeschooling family who lives close to us and our neighbors, so I'm getting some peace and quiet and sleep!
Thank you all, again for the prayers and well wishes (not to mention the dancing bananas and confetti )! I'm so blessed to share this with you! You're all THE BEST!

Oh what wonderful, wonderful news Suzanne! I can't wait to pop over to your blog and see just how darn cute this little fella is! But with all those beautiful daughters, I don't doubt it!!
Enjoy your babymoon, praying it is a blessed one for you...your little man child during the season of Advent as we all prepare for the arrival of the Divine Child..it'll be very special for you all this year.
