Hi Ladies,
It has been some time since I stopped by and I wish it was to say hello or check out some of the beautiful feminine motherly wisdom here but instead it is to ask for prayers for our beautiful Anne.
She has been experiencing trouble with her Gall bladder for some time now, which has been causing her a great deal of pain. She was on a regime of naturally dealing with this but as it elevated the discomfort occasionally the flare ups became worse and more frequent.
Phil, her hubby, has just contacted me as she has been admitted into hospital.
This is what Phil as said:
"Chemai the bad news is we put Anne in hospital today with gall bladder pains. They are going to operate to remove the gall bladder as it is causing her pancreas to swell up {pancreatitis}. The doctors haven't told her yet when they will operate. We expect she will be in hospital at least 5 days. Please pray for a successful outcome".
I know you all love her dearly, asking for prayers for her is my privilege as her friend and I know it would give her great comfort to know that you are praying for her. I will update when I can on her progress.

Update on Anne:
I spoke to Anne earlier tonight. I told her of all your prayers and she was very grateful and comforted by them.
She has pancreatitis (sorry for the spelling), four people have died from this condition in the hospital where she is this year, so it is quite a dangerous condition.
The doctors can't operate until the inflammation of her pancreas reduces; her levels were at 3000 now at 2900, a normal level would be 60. At this rate they won't be able to operate for about six weeks or so this is also determined on availability of theater time. She is in the public system here which is better than the American system, but still can be slow.
She is on oxygen and has other devices attached as other organs can be affected by the inflammation like the lungs and kidneys. She is in no pain - Thank God, but had to drive herself to the hospital in excruciating pain which was relieved eventually with a couple of shots of morphine.
She sounds good but very tied, and happy to be out of pain.
I know all your prayers are very powerful and she is blessed to have all your support and love.

We've heard from Anne this morning. She let us know that she had been sent home to rest with a surgery date scheduled for January 12. Unfortunately, she began having serious pain in her left back (lung area) so she is going back to the hospital just to be prudent and have them check for clots.
She has asked that we update and request additional prayers.

Our dear Anne needs increased prayers again! She was hospitalized last night again with Pancreatitis.
She has a special devotion to Our Lady of Good Counsel so please ask for her intercession on Anne's behalf!

********ANNE'S UPDATE 12/22/10**********
Thank you again for all your prayers!!!  I am home again! My surgery was Tuesday lunchtime and came home today (Wednesday) lunchtime.
The surgery went well, I was in recovery for a bit due to slow breathing and apnea, I think it was to do with having morphine, so by the time it had worn off late that night I felt back to normal. Not much pain which was wonderful.
Resting at home now in the hope of making a good, strong recovery.
I will remember everyone's intentions at Mass in thanksgiving for all those prayers.
