I also love sending and receiving them. I have done a picture card from Costco (or similar) with a picture every year since DS1 was born in '05, so this will be the 6th. Sometimes it's a formal picture of the entire family, last year I took individual shots of each of the 3 boys and did a collage type.

My list has always hovered around 50, but this year I had to bump up to 75 (50 wasn't enough and because of the 25 increment for ordering....) so I am sending to more friends than I used to.

I have a database in my computer that I use to print labels for Christmas cards (and baby announcements go to the same list

) It took a bit to type everyone in the first year, (I think I did it 2 years ago) but now I just have to update address changes and add/remove names as needed. This greatly simplifies the mailing process!

We send them every year. I also print out mailing labels and send a picture of the kids.

Our rule for sending them is "if we didn't see you in person this year" or "you sent one to us".
