Could you all lift my children up in prayer for healing? They have had a cough, with my 5yo in his 4th week. They are at the doc. today for the second time about this...very unusual for us to see a doc, nevermind twice for the same episode  . Praise God there are no other major symptoms but this is interrupting sleep so we're all pretty groggy at this point.
Thanks so much for praying us through this couging marathon.
ETA 12-15: Heading into the 12th week...
Aiden is at the ped for a regularly scheduled sports physical and that went well. Since the cough still persists he got a chest xray and the ped is looking more seriously at the allergy explanation for these symptoms . They are in consultation right now.
Could you all please pray! One of the main reasons we left PA seven years ago to come to AZ was for allergy/asthma relief for my dh. If this is allergy related...all of our boys and I will are likely candidates.

ETA 2/23:
Could you all continue to pray. Our family has a cold...but it is hitting 15yods as a cough, again. We're lining up insurance stuff to get him to a specialist...praying for relief as he heads into baseball season.

Oh, that is a tough one. Last fall my ds had a bad cold and coughed for nearly three months afterwards! Apparently that is within normal

I was thinking whooping cough also...
We had it 2 yrs ago and the doctors thought it was croup in the older kids. Once the 2 yr old got it they finally diagnosed it. My husband and I and the older kids did not have the characteristic whooping sound which they say it's typical for only the littles to get it. Half of us were vaccinated against it and got it from a vaccinated family. They say there's already an outbreak this year. Started off as a mild cold and after a week the horrible coughing started and lasted 3 or 4 weeks then slowly got better. Strangest thing is we felt perfectly fine besides coughing.
Anyway- it's probably not that but thought I'd throw my experience in there

Praying, Angie. We had this when we lived in Virginia. My then 1 year old coughed for two months. Turned out she had an allergy to the mold in the house (old housing on the military installation).

We had something similar and it was pneumonia. It only showed up on an x-ray for one dc but the rest of us had lung congestion and some of us needed two rounds of antibiotics to get over it. It has been fierce in our area this fall. I don't think I ever coughed that much for so long. Prayers you all recover soon!

We're heading into our 7th week  . Last week showed much improvement but there has been some back-stepping the last few days.
