Oh good, D!!!!
Dem Bones by Bob Barner
I think this would be a great book to add to All Souls/Day of the Dead theme. It's informative about skeletons and bones, but I think it makes the skeletons non-scary.
The Scholastic Video of this is fantastic, especially to sing-along!

Are We There Yet?
By Alison Lester
Our favorite book about a family touring Australia. It's a gem!
(Theresa- we also love the llama book. The rhymes are so fun to read aloud.)

I was having a tough time sleeping last night, and I kept thinking of book titles, trying to come up with unique endings. Unless we can a "C" before a Silent E (I had one a little bit ago), C is hard to get!

Oh dear...
Chari and Jenn I tried to help with the "C" last night. I have quite a few titles that do end in the "ce" so we could use "C" but the first letter titles aren't coming up to get them in. I almost did a series of 3 book sin a row myself just so I could but....
Might have to resort to that yet...

A TURKEY FOR THANKSGIVING by Eve Bunting
Jenn...I SO know that feeling...this IS a sickness...but not one that is horribly unpleasant, since it involves books
losing sleep though is quite a cross.....I am sorry that I sent you over the edge.
I cannot even remember what "C" book I was waiting to post.....and, how likely would it be ME who got there first
use your self-control, Mary ...if *I* have to, so do you

Now be nice! It's a wonderful diversion! I got my son involved yesterday...he thought it was great fun. We started doing it ourselves. It's neat to be aware of the letters in a title. I've never given much thought except for alphabetizing.

Oh, a set up! Maybe you can PM the secret plan and Chari and I can conspire with you.

OH! I FOUND IT!!!!
THE COUNTRY BUNNY AND THE LITTLE GOLD SHOES by Du BOse Heyward, Pictures by Marjorie Flack
We LOVE this book! We do not "DO" the Easter bunny...BUT...this little bunny mommy has 21 children.....and THAT is cool
And this mommy bunny did an amzing job teaching all of her children their chores....and so she had almost no work to do......
Thanks, Mary!
(secretly this goes against my better judgement as I would not normally allow myself to drop that silent E ....but I will take it anyway! )
