Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Happy Birthday to all of you celebrating a birthday this month!

I didn't see anyone who shares a birthday with us, but
my twins share their birthday with my neice 4/20.
Never a problem before, but now we live in the same city and I'm not sure how we'll handle birthdays.

Mine --    July 26
DH   --    Dec 10
Married -- Sept 8
Nicholas - Sept 15
Nathan & Olivia -- April 20

My sort of large family - mom, dad, six siblings, 5 in-laws, and 23+ grandchildren celebrate with a monthly birthday party. So, March Birthdays is for anyone with a birthday in March. It has been a wonderful tradition!! In the warm weather it is usually a swim party at my parents and in other seasons just a backyard party at someone's house - nothing too fancy - just lots of cakes, presents, and fun! The exception is most of the grandkids get a big one-year birthday party with extra family and friends. We had never done a "friend party" because of so many monthly birthday celebrations with cousins, and finally decided the children could have a big friend party when they turned 10. Emily got hers last September....finally!

Oh, since I never posted on this, I'll post now...

My birthday is Jan 2, 1968. My claim-to-fame - and it's a small one folks, is that I was the first kid in my "city" born that year.

Mind you, I was born on a refinery base in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night in Venezuela....it was 400 yards off of the beach, though...perhaps that's where I get my penchant for the water!

My oldest dd is March 5, 1997; Juliana is March 1, 1998; Sophia is Nov 23, 1999; and Joe Max is Dec 28, 2000. Joe Max was in the NICU for 5 days and we brought him home on my 33rd birthday. Dh is August 31, '67 - so he's the only summer birthday in our family...so far, anyway....

Maria, you're 4 days older than me!!! I was born 1/6/68.

Hubby was born 12/15/61.
We got committed (Filipino term for deciding to go exclusive) 12/15/87.
We got married 12/15/89.
Aisa was born 3/24/91 (Spring), Paco 6/26/96 (Summer), Migi 11/29/98 (Fall) and Yena 12/22/01 (Winter).

Hubby shares the same birthday as his mom and his uncle (mom's brother). Isn't that weird?

My bday is 2/23/77...am I the youngest mom on this board??

Dh and I were married on 11/21/98...The Feast of the Presentation of Mary ...we chose that date before I became Catholic, so I like to think Mama Mary was watching out for me even then. I was received into the Catholic Church on 11/21/99.

Mary Beth was born 5/24/99
Anna was born 5/8/02
Lucia was born 5/16/04 (her due date was the 5/13, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima)

August has been a very good month for us!

This baby is due in November. I'm kind of hoping the baby is born on our anniversary, since it's a Marian feast day.

Our Lady has been very good to our family! I often think she must have special plans for our little girls, since they were all born in the month of May!

Dawn

I must have missed this thread because I had just had a baby on 3/6/06.

Kristine, I have the same birthday as you! All Souls' Day, 1969. So that must make me 5 years older than you.

I'm 2 months older than my dh (but I was from the 60's and he was from the 70's )

Dawn, he shares a birthday with you - 1/12/70.

My ds's came very close to sharing a birthday: 12/11/98 at 11:59 pm and 12/12/00. For awhile I thought I was only fertile in March.

Ooh, what a lovely resurrected thread!

My birthday is 28 April 1972. I am halfway to 70 on Saturday!

I've recently discovered that my birthday is also the feast of St Gianna Molla and St Louis de Montfort so I'm pretty chuffed about that.

Robynn, we share the same exact birthday!!!! I was also born 9/11/58! I wonder if we truly are the oldest on this board. And Dominique was born on your son's birthday 2/25, but in 99.

Our two oldest were both born 6/13 (Feast of St Anthony!), one in 79 and the other in 81. Our seventh was born a day later, 6/14 in 92.

My dh is 4/26/52, he'll be 55 tomorrow. He shares a birthday with my grandfather who died at 98.

My youngest son was born 5/8 on my mother's birthday.

This is fun!

Oh, I missed this the first go around.

My birthday is May 3, 1970. The other day, I was driving when it hit me--I'm going to be 37!!!

I keep telling my kids that I'm 29.    It drives my son crazy.

Amy, we are the same year 1970..for me, 16th of October, St Gerard Magella's feast. I remember reading once, that St Maria Goretti shares my birthday.

Ruth, look at your birthday, 11th of September, this way...that date along with the 12th is significant and triumphant in the church history and I am sure that is why it was targeted. It was the famous Siege of Vienna - remember how the Turks were never a force to be reckoned with after the sea battle Lepanto? Well, this is what this famous land battle did to the Turkish force in Europe.

With the battle of Lepanto, the feast of "Our Lady of the Rosary" was instituted on the 7th of October in thanksgiving of their victory. In the Siege of Vienna, Our Lady's powerful intercession was praised and the feast, "The Holy Name of Mary" was instituted on the 12th in thanksgiving of this two significant days.

My husband's birthday is on the 12th of September and when we woke in the morning in 2001 to see 9/11 unfolding, it was on his birthday (we are 15 hours ahead in Australia.)

You were born on a great day - and everytime we think of a Christian Europe that has not be taken over by Islam, this date reminds us of that.
