water broke this morning.. not in active labor as of yet..
prayers appreciated..
I homebirth so you may see me around and I may update.. just depends on how things go
Update - top of page 2
second update:
Labor was fairly long this time.. not real hard though for first stage.. but by then it was late and I was soo tired.. my body did not want to eat though I drank juice and stuff all day.. so second stage was not going real well.. I wasn't handling the contrax and pushing at the same time.. but B was handling me just "dealing" with contrax ok so we took a break and I would doze between contrax.. I'm thinking it was around 3am that we started the break.. my midwife could tell his head wasn't molded so it was hard. But a couple hours of some sleep and more juice and we were able to get going with it a bit before 6 this morning (I think it was.. it was before 6 but after 5:30).. give or take. By then my midwife could tell his head had molded some (thank goodness).. at one point my midwife prayed over me and B and that helped too.. as did all the prayers for us I'm sure. He was big.. finally got his head past my pubic bone and on the way out and his shoulders got stuck.. first time I've ever had one do that.. matter of fact before my midwife said he was stuck I mumbled something about wasn't it supposed to be easier yet.
But we changed my position.. got me up squatting (or something that passed for it) midwife was pulling me forward and Dave was lifting and if it wasn't so serious it would have been hilarious.. but that did it.. and we were able to get him out without injury to either one of us.
So we knew this little guy was big.. 10lb 8 oz, 15 inch head, 22.5 inches long and just so sweet and chubby and cuddly He's got a great latch and got this nursing thing down pat right away. We slept while he nursed for the first time.. we were both pretty tired.
He's been passed around and loved on all day and I've nursed him and napped and snacked more or less all day catching up.
And we (me supervising my oldest) switched out all the newborn clothes for the 0-3 month sizes because newborns won't fit Thanks to a friend sending me a box of things.. I did have some 0-3 month sizes easily at hand for right after his bath.

quick update.. midwife and dh are here.. we did one check just so we know where I'm at.. and I was dilated to a 5.. which considering I had very few contractions that I'd call "strong".. I was quite surprised.. but pleasantly so.
