Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My Hubby is usually the one who makes the popcorn, but asking him he says "it's SO easy to make, microwave has nothing on this"

He does stove top with oil, very simple BUT very good!!

Updating:

I have finally perfected my stove top popping skills. I discovered that my problem was not using high enough heat, so it was taking a long time for the kernels to pop, and then about half never popped at all.

Now that I've turned up the heat quite a lot, it takes only about 3-4 minuted to make, and the results are very tasty.

LOVE LOVE LOVE our Whirly pop!! I actually used to work at a popcorn store, so I am kinda a snob on how I like my popcorn. I use organic coconut oil now (and laugh at how we used to tell people at the store that the sunflower was so much better for them!)I still buy Weaver brand popcorn and the butter flavor salt from them though. I like the Weaver popcorn because it pops most of it.

One note on the Whirly pop; we used to have people coming in complaining about the handle gear stripping. You have to stop stirring and remove it from the heat as soon as it gets difficult to stir, if you continue stirring you could strip it. But we have had ours for 6 years and it still works great!
