I bake regularly in the summer. I'm with Janette...if I waited for temps to be more comfortable we'd never be able to bake.
Today I'm baking a variation of Jodie's oatmeal bars, adding carobs and coconut!!!

Mary, if I couldn't use the oven when it was above 70 I might as well rip it out. It would be off 3/4 of the year here! |

ah, yes ... but if you had your husband doing grilling or making salads, etc ... would that be so bad? |

Well when you put it that way, I'd love to rip it out!
Tim did grill some before we moved. If we weren't in and out so much on weekends he'd do it more often. We need to get one of those chimney things that heat the coals quickly. We keep the thermostat at 77/78 too so it really is too hot to cook indoors.

Oh we're baking those too Jen.. we're doing cranberry sauce in place of the apple sauce, dried cranberries, pecans and white chocolate chips.

Last day to vote, ladies!
For those who are baking, what are you baking? I'm craving Jodies oatmeal bars...
Love,

I recently started baking bread, so I bake about a loaf a day (or a batch of pita breads, or a pizza crust, etc.). Almost all our dinners have a baked component, though I do use the toaster oven often instead. Lots of desserts here too!
And I have the oatmeal bars bookmarked for this week--yum!

The question was: Do you bake in the summer?
My answer: Yes - if I venture outside! This is the longest heat wave I can remember!!!
Yes we bake during the summer, but less than during the cooler months.
