I have fallen hard for the pink vintage pyrex.....take a look at these pictures
Pretty in Pink Pyrex
Be still my heart....these pictures, for some reason, evoke such a strong emotion of things like warm sunny kitchens, and a nostalgia I can’t quite put my finger on ( and believe me, I am not a nostalgic person usually)....I suspect it is because I was born in the ’60’s and I bet my beloved Grandma, (who I associate with all things good from my childhood) had some pieces like this in her kitchen. Or...maybe it has been a very stressful few months, and I am going a little wonky  , but I have to find some pink pyrex now. The aqua pieces would be nice, too!
I am going to do a little thrift shopping this weekend! 
Any other pyrex collectors out there?

I love Pyrex, too. I guess I'm a collector of sorts -- I have lots of vintage pyrex I use on a daily basis.
I was about to say I don't have any pink, but I do have one with a lid, top right photo. I usually don't go for pink. I particularly like the blue ones, but I'm not picky. I buy what is cheapest and functional (does that mean I'm not a collector?  )
I like the fridge dishes instead of plastic containers, and the lidded dishes are fabulous for microwave cooking and serving on the table.
It does evoke lots of memories, as my mother and grandmother had Pyrex bowls, my MIL, too. I have a friend who oohs and aaahs every time she comes over, because it brings back such wonderful memories of her grandmother's kitchen.
I keep my eyes out at antique and thrift stores. You pay less when it's an isolate piece rather than a set.

I love pyex too, just a pity I haven't seen anything like that here in Oz.
They are so gorgeous, I love Pink.

I love it! Yep, it looks pretty familiar from childhood. I wonder if my boys would eat food out of pink serving dishes...

Oh, I love it, too! I suspect you are right, I remember grandmother using dishes like those in the 60's-70s. 
LOL, Bridget, I suspect dh wouldn't be so thrilled, either! He is so good at humoring me, though.

My dh is color blind but I can't get away with anything because the boys are so ... boy.
Those dishes belong in a charming lake house!

I would love to find some of the aqua b/c my mom's whole kitchen was in that color. I still have the Cosco stool in aqua that was used as an "high" chair once we all graduated from the official high chair. My dd8 still eats in it!

I love Pyrex but ever since I had a casserole dish explode in the oven once (and the shards are endless) I've been a little leery. Anyone else have that happen?

There was a thread here in 4Real a few months back about exploding pyrex and I've seen many articles about it on the internet in general; it's pretty common. apparently, pyrex changed their formula about 30 yrs ago and anything "new" is not as safe as the original stuff, something about the way its tempered. Any abrupt change in temperature like setting a hot pan on a cool countertop, etc. can trigger it, but if it's in the oven already, it probably had some microscopic chips that happened during the previous use.
But, is the pink/blue pyrex truly vintage? or retro remakes? If it's truly the old stuff it's probably safer but I'd still be a bit wary myself. (btw, isn't this actually Corning ware? same company, just wondering)
After hearing of the exploding pyrex I replaced my 9x12 casserole dish with one from Pampered Chef, only to have it break about 3 months later - I had not done anything like go from fridge to oven, etc. just normal baking, but it developed deep fissure cracks all over the bottom and probably would have broken when next heated. My rep replaced it free, though.

edited - in looking at the pics again, I see that they are not really corning ware - they have that milky shade of white instead of a solid white. The more I look at these, the more I want some too! maybe just stick with using them for storage and not heating.

Oh, my! Mom had that Pyrex in her kitchen. I cannot ship it all over here, so my sil will be having it sold on Ebay. I think these dishes are safe from explosion...we used them when I was growing up and I have been out of the house for well over 30 years.

I just bought another vintage pyrex bowl today, the white with pink bowl.
Mary Alice, these are vintage, and so they would be the "older" versions that wouldn't explode.
Bridget, I think you might be able to get away with the white with pink, as it's not that obvious.
I haven't had the exploding, but have had cracked when I did the transitions of temperature too quickly. One of those lessons I think everyone has to learn. That and leaving a pot or pan on the stove....

I love old Pyrex too!!! I just started collecting though. I like to check a favorite flea market in Nashville when we visit home! It's such fun to find the older pieces!!!!

I came across some vintage aqua/white small casseroles in a yard sale awhile back. The ones with the chickens. I think I got them for 25 cents apiece.
LOVE THEM.
Wish I had more.

Years ago when I was first married, I had some ham in a pyrex dish in the oven, and thought it looked a bit dry, so I poured water into the dish - the cold water hit the dish and cracked it right in half. And I just realized this moment that it was.....an aqua dish! I hadn't even remembered that I had that!

When we moved into our present house, the old owners left a red one just like it, so now i have two! Both have seen better days and have been used plenty of times for painting, so I really need to get the paint off and clean them up. I just love them.

Okay, Girls.....my mom just called me and said she found the pink gooseberry mixing bowl SET.....FOUR bowls....for TWELVE DOLLARS. I nearly fainted...that is going for at least $35-50 on Ebay....unbelievable. Here is a picture from ebay of the pretties...

Awww, what a mom!!! That is so sweet for her to find them, and at what a bargain!!!
I should get her looking for me! I found the small bowl of your nesting bowl the other day for $4.00...so she definitely found such a steal!
I just saw the set I really liked Pyrex Snowflake Blue.
Bluebird and Butterprint are my other two favorites, mainly because that was what I had growing up.
But I did say I'm not picky, as I like having oven safe with lids, and so I picked up this Trailing Flowers today. Not as vintage and old as the others, but still functional 2 1/2 quart covered dish.
