UPDATE 6/15:
The family is saying good-bye to their dear little one this afternoon. The MRI revealed the brain stem was the only functioning portion of the brain and she was bleeding internally from the damage her little organs sustained. Please continue to pray for the family, especially the siblings, and thank you for the prayers already said.

A family in our local hs group is in need of prayer. The dad found the 18 month daughter in their pool Friday. It took 25 minutes of cpr for a heartbeat and she was not breathing. This is the most recent update:
At the present time, the doctor’s are not hopeful that she will pull through this. They performed a CAT scan and the results
are not good. Her little organs are showing signs of damage from the lack
of oxygen. They don’t expect her to make it. Unless God
performs a miracle and chooses to let her stay here with us, it looks like she will be meeting Jesus soon. She is not brain dead at this
time. She takes occasional breaths on her own. The part of the
brain responsible for breathing is very well protected and is the last to shut
down. In a few days, if she is still with us, the doctor’s will
perform an MRI to assess the extent of the damage. The doctor attending
to her have told the family that a waiting time of a few days is necessary
for the full impact of the damage to show up.
We are just so heartbroken for this Catholic family. The toddler is the youngest of 8. It is such a blow. Two priests have been ministering to the older children at home while the mother has had the support of family and friends at the hospital over an hour away.
We pray that there may be a miracle, but God's will be done!

What a nightmare! I can't even imagine...
