You never, never know when a little girl might show up in the midst of all of those boys and likewise a little boy in the girl house.....oh, how exciting for you both!!!!!! Many and prayers!!! |

Hummm....I had an inkling on page one of this thread...AND I wonder why I had a little hunch there....
I will NEVER forget my husband’s reaction when they pronounced girl parts at our 18 week ultrasound. He gasped, and I think he immediately was thinking of her first date. He kept repeating and grinning ear to ear, “WOW, we are having a girl!!” We were so used to boy parts, I KNEW as soon as she started scanning that I had my little girl. (working OB for a few years helped too) Making that phone call home to a house full of boys, letting them know a girl was on the way, WOW.....lots of hollering and “what does this MEAN for us men????”
What it means is.....my boys adore their little Lily. She has taught them way more about chivalry and being a good man than I could have. There is a softening of the edges with her around.....they still rough house, but check themselves when the “lady” is in the room....although, I hate to admit, she is a little stinker and can be quite the instigator of mischief.
(She is quite the spunky little sprite!!)
Enjoy, Ladies....I am so happy for you both, and look forward to hearing in the years to come how these little ones have changed the dynamics in your families. God is Good!!!!

Guess what I bought today??????
Blue Flannel Fabric with TRAINS on it!!! For little-baby-boy-Diaper Wipes!!!!!!!
And, flannel goes down to $1.00 / yard next week, so we're going to GO CRAZY with boy-color-flannels and get busy with some new burp cloths!!!! That sounds like a good beginning sewing project for some older sisters, doesn't it?

The blue train flannel I used for the best blankets for swaddling and then for nursing. I made one for #7 our 2nd boy and somehow it went home with Cousin Will so I had to remake one for number 8 Annie
