UPDATE - July 7th.
My brother is in Hospice, in the Nursing Home (he went back and forth to the hospital many times. He is surrounded by staff and residents who have grown to know and love him these past 12 years that he has been there.
He has had pneumonia since May 30th. It is recurring and resistant.
My poor mom turned 70 on June 23rd. She goes to the Nursing Home daily, pretty much, except when she is in too much pain from her back (her surgery has been put on hold indefinitely for the time being.)
He has good days and bad days. It is not a period of waiting. A priest from our parish came to do an Anointing of the Sick a few days ago. Some doctors feel he will rally and could be alive a year from now, some are saying two weeks, so obviously no one knows.
All I ask of God is strength and peace for my Mom, and for my brother to be free from pain. He never completely has been, in his whole life, all 46 years so far.
One day, how soon we don't know, he will be. I rest in that. Now I am crying so had better stop writing.
Prayers are, absolutely, appreciated and coveted.

I am not on the boards often now, as life is very busy and full, but I am glad I saw this and am able to pray for you, your mother and especially Vinnie. We will especially hold you all close to our hearts when we pray our Rosary each evening.
