Jenn, it's great that you are home and feeling so hopeful about the future. You will feel better physically every day, but do give yourself at least a week of really good rest. No heavy lifting, of course. When the doc gets the laparascope inside of you, he/she may really torque it around to get a good look. This may have happened to you, since you mentioned the adhesions. That's why you'll feel like you did several hundred sit-ups for a while.
I prescribe lots of hugs from your family, a good book, and the comfort of prayers from friends.
Hugs from WV!

Jenn,
I had a laparoscopy this time last year. It was because of right-sided ovarian pain, Dr A was the doctor as well. They cut a lot of adhesions and didn't find anything else.
Unfortunately, the one-week time frame they gave me for healing was a little optimistic ! It really took several weeks before the soreness subsided and it didn't hurt when I moved around.
So take it really easy and don't let anyone elses timeline influence your activity level. Listen to your body!
I am sorry for your loss! God's plans are such a mystery for us all, aren't they? I will be praying for your healing and for another little one to be sent to your loving family soon.

Dear Jenn,
We have been praying for you here in Ohio and are sorry about the loss of your baby. I had laparoscopy about ten years ago when my first pregnancy was ectopic. I think it took 3 or 4 weeks to feel as though I did not have to hold my incisions when I got up, coughed, or laughed. Give yourself time to heal inside and out. Meanwhile, know that we are praying for you a bunch!
God Bless you and yours,

Thanks so much for the personal experiences on laparascopies! You are helping me get a clearer picture of recovery! This is Day 1 without dh doing everything. My mother is here, but she requires more "direction" than having Dave run things. He was so wonderful -- housework, laundry, mother and father to our son, and -- even making special meals: filet mignon one night, split pea soup last night! What a husband!!! I miss him today.
I'm being careful not to push too much...let my pain be my guide. I feel like I have to keep my stomach in a constant state of protection -- the spontaneous hugs and jumps from ds are a bit painful.

Jenn,
I have no idea how I missed this entire thread. First of all, I am so very sorry for the loss of your baby. Having been through miscarriage multiple times, I know how heartbreaking it is. I'm so sorry.
And, I'm praying now for a speedy physical recovery, and for hope for your future.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, and they are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." -- Jeremiah, 29:11
