I am so very sorry, Carole.  If you are feeling bad about not being there, don't.... When my own mum was ill and in hospice, I stayed with her as much as possible. She ended up passing just 1/2 hour after I left for the evening. And the same thing happened with my dad...I had only gone to have a bit of dinner, and got the call from the nurse just before my meal came. I just had to trust that this was God's plan. Many prayers for the repose of your dear mom's soul and, again, for your safe journey.

Carole, I just read your posts and I am so sorry that your mother passed away so quickly. How hard for you not to be with her at the time she died! God is merciful, though! I hope you will be consoled knowing that He was with her the entire time, and He is with you now as you travel and as your grieve. Praying for strength, comfort, courage, and a deep sense of God's presence by your side throughout this most difficult time.
