Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Great narrations, Erin!

Michelle, I'll be looking forward to reading your girls' work as well!

I finally got some time to type up narrations for the girls. I'll post them under "My Girl's Narrations".

Blessings,

Though I'd post the next one by Malachi, at least I have ONE child doing narrations. Michelle we enjoyed the girls' narrations

Sarli the Barrier Reef Turtle- L. Rees         &n bsp;     22nd March

There were about 230 eggs in the turtle nest. In the day 30 eggs got hatched and they went out and got eaten by sea gulls and gannets. Sarli waited till night to leave the nest. The baby turtles went to the sea, on the way night crabs ate many. Sarli and some of the other turtles made it to the ocean.

As Sarli got bigger she grew restless and wanted adventure. The next morning she packed up and left home. She went out to the Pacific Ocean. On the third day Sarli saw a big sea turtle being chased by a hungry pack of sharks. One shark bit off a flipper off a turtle. ‘Swop, dash,’ another flipper was gone. Soon the sea was covered with blood and many turtles were eaten. A shark chased Sarli, she dived but the shark tore a piece off her flipper. Then they sharks went.

One` time Sarli was napping on the beach while she napping she felt something on her back. She tried to get it off but it would not come off. She tried to get into the ocean but the person on her back pulled her head up. Finally she made it to the ocean, she went deeper and deeper, finally the man fell off. Then she dived under.

Three weeks later Sarli got caught again. This time three men tipped her over onto her carapace. She hit her breastplate hard with her flippers. For three days she lay on her back beating her breastplate and trying to get over. The sun was in her eyes she could not stop it. Then one night a cyclone came, splashing waves onto her. The tide came up very fast and a big wave came up and the wind blew her along the beach. Another wave came up higher and swept her into the sea.

When Sarli was twelve she found a mate, she went back to the place where she was born to lay her eggs. She dug a little hole it crumbled. She dug again it was too wet. She dug again it was perfect. She dug a little tunnel. Then she laid her eggs. She laid one hundred and thirty eggs. The nest was full of white round balls. She would come back in a fortnight to lay more.
