Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I guess Angels fans could wear Mickey Mouse ears and eat hot dogs?

I wanted to add some ideas for the Colorado Rockies:

Denver Omelette
Celestial Seasonings Tea

-and this one is disputed, but Denver is one of a couple cities that claims to have invented the cheeseburger in the 1930s.

I just wanted to add that the Florida Marlins are here in Miami and that if you really want the food that is served at the Ballpark, you could always try these Cuban Sandwiches

Now that's authentic! Yes they serve all the customary hot dogs and such but Cuban sandwiches are awesome. (Sorry slightly biased here)

Okay and I'll give you the "sword fish" idea made me laugh

We had Burritos in honor of our soon-to-be win over the D-backs. Last Sunday we had Brats and Miller beer since we were playing Milwaukee. (Beat them, too!) We'll have Spicy Pork and Green Beans when our rookie pitcher defeats the reigning Cy Young winner in San Fran this weekend.    It's great to be in CardinalNation!

Would you like to clarify, Anita?

LOL on the beer emoticon , Anita! My dh would agree!

I must confess, my Alsatian/German-American grandfather made his own beer in his back yard, but I can't stand the stuff. I'm hoping it's the Alsatian in me...the region is known for its wines (sadly, the part my ancestors emigrated from is not Alsatian wine country, but...).

Guess who's eating humble pie right now...the Dbacks and their fans. Now that our boys baseball playing is slowing down a wee bit, I'm here to at least have fun with food while watching a Dback game.

How is it going, fans? What fine cuisine have you enjoyed?

I can also see that I need to update the original list with a few items so this is a great time to add more suggestions.

Love,

It's humble pie here, too, as rumors swirl around O-land. We don't know whether we'll have our coach much longer. (Sad...he's a good guy.)

On the good side, the Nationals are doing well (mostly by beating the Orioles, at least this past weekend). Bring on the chili!

Bumping one of my all time favorite topics for...

Opening Day

For our Dbacks, we'll eat beans and rice...hot dogs will need to wait .

Also, I want to re-read this topic and am eager to make additions. Please share! Over the winter we made Seattle Dogs - YUM!

Bring on the baseball and bring on the food!

Love,

While Cincinnati is definitely known for Cincinnati style chili (my fav is Skyline but some like Gold Star ), there are other great eats like goetta from Glier's and Izzy's (potato pancakes are da bomb!!). Yummy!

This sounds like a wonderful learning experience this summer!

Angie,
Loved the Dbacks stadium when we were out there years ago! Do they still have the pool in outfield?

Isn't it great! Yes, the pool is there and it is a big hope for our family that somehow we'll get to hang out there during a game sometime. I will not be in a swimsuit .

Love,

Someone beat me to mentioning the Primanti Brothers sandwich from Pittsburgh! It is even better if you use corned beed instead of ham!

Ok, I just have to mention that I had the best hot dog ever in Seattle last month. We stopped at a little shop called "Japan Dog." Mine was a kielbasa on a regular bun with sweet teriyaki sauce, carmelized onions, a big pile of shredded nori (dried seaweed) and grated carrots, oh and Japanese mayo on top. So delicious.
