Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yes, the area has exploded with growth over the last 10 years with basically no additional parishes in that time. THere are a couple of smaller, older population parishes a little further into the more established parts of that area. But that area has the dynamic of expanding suburbs, PLUS established neighborhoods, PLUS growing rural areas that have no parish nearby.

The pastor and assistant pastor are doctrinally orthodox but pretty young and both emphasize evangelization. Also, one of the priests spends a lot of time working directly with the youth and fostering vocations for both men and women.

I'm still amazed by the numbers. We are at an older parish in the city not far from there and we have a pastor well known for extremely good catechesis and a good school and lots of homeschooling families and we still only had 15 making sacraments with about 5 baptisms.
