Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have put a few pictures of my saints up on my blog.

Please don't look too closely at the blog. It is brand new and I am still getting the hang of it. I am hoping to post lots of photos of my CGS presentations as it is so hard to find photos for ideas and inspiration. I love looking to see what others have done but, in this case, not many post. If you know of some good blogs to look at, I'm all eyes.

edit: Oh, I wanted to add that the photo gives a good idea to the different sizes. Our Lady of Lourdes is 3.5" and the little Mary is just under 2" and Joseph is 2 3/8". The peg dolls are almost 4.5". I hope that helps.

I was so inspired by the creativity of you ladies on this thread; thank you! I thought I'd share what we did also;

Sts. George, Maria Goretti, Vincent de Paul, Joseph, Elizabeth of Hungary, Peter, John Vianney, Rose of Lima, Fracis of Assissi, Pio, Cecilia, Bl. Teresa of Calcutta, Maximilian Kolbe, Agnes, Martin of Tours, Therese of Liseux, Patrick... Sts. Stephen, Benedict, John the Baptist, Jane Frances de Chantal, Josephine Bahkita, and Francis Xavier had gone missing this day.

We like to put them on the world map in their respective countries to get some good context going here...

Ellie, so sweet and I love the idea of placing them on a world map in their countries. Great idea!

Montessori Candy has a post about making a large felt world map. That would be perfect for anyone touring the continents as part of school. You could add your saints to the continent boxes. Oh, I love having another use for these guys!

We are touring the continents next year. I will definitely make a felt world and more saints. Thank you for the inspiration ladies!

Ellie and Summer, you both did such lovely jobs! I have a feeling mine wouldn't come out *quite* like that...    Wonderful inspiration!

Ellie - WOW WOW WOW.
Beautiful.

Celeste, I was sure mine would be horrible.
It was easier than it seems.
Give it a shot.

See what I made for hubby for our anniversary over the weekend - it's on my blog- I am sorry I can't seem to paste it on here.

Ellie and Trish- so cute!!
I do believe we need to have a painted wooden saint carnival.
I wish I had a blog to host it.

For Easter I painted a Father Abraham, Daniel, Ruth and Pharoah's daughter with baby Moses for my dc... I'll try to post a picture. They weren't exactly in line with the Easter theme, but my dc loved them. I put them in their Easter Baskets.

I'm bumping up this thread because for a long time I have been looking for a better way to display our painted saints. Jessica at Shower of Roses has a nifty black shot glass holder with cubbies that works perfectly:Shower of Roses

I wanted something like that, but ideally found at a yard sale for $2

Recently at TJMaxx I found a holder that works for me... for $9.99

It is actually an Ellen Tracy jewelry tray and is lined with black velveteen.
It stands on its side perfectly, and a bonus is that the velveteen grips the wooden dolls so they don't slide around. We can easily move this display around- from a window sill to a shelf, etc. Nothing falls out! and I think the black and white fabric adds a pretty touch.

It is so nice to have our communion of saints looking down on us.

I love how my dd put St, Therese and Father Abraham together- what a pair!
