Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh no. I can not take credit for making this! My friend Laura's husband Michael makes and sells them. If you are interested, here is the website...

That's why I bought it from them. I love my bookcases, but they took several years. I could. not. wait. that long for my prayer list!

You know, this would be really easy to make...and really easy to personalize to your own particular decorating style...I'm picturing one for my house, with a vintage wooden picture frame, maybe painted, maybe gilded, who knows!, with a homemade chalkboard in the middle of it. Easy enough to do, with the chalkboard paints out there--you could even do the board in a colored chalkboard...change the frame, and you get a whole new look! A rustic twig frame for a country motif, something in a polished metal for a more modern/contemporary, basic black for something versatile...

I'd think a good piece of quality plywood would do the trick for the board "base" before painting...not the knotty kind. The better quality stuff. Hmmmm. Using a frame already made, you could get it to fit your decor, and whatever space you had in mind...hmmmmm.

Okay. I've already got "homemade French memo board on the brain", now this! LOL.

Oh, and Paula? Thank you for the prayers. It seems that the crisis has, thanks be to God, been averted/handled.
