Chari's daughter is still experiencing pain and since I don't know how to bump the old thread, I thought I'd just add a new prayer request until Chari has time to put in a request.

Praying for your daughter, Chari. Willa had posted these 2 prayers last summer; I think they bear repeating...
Here is the Memorare --prayers for strength and comfort for Anne, and for healing if it is God's Will:
Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
Here is the official prayer for intercession to Pope John Paul II.
Prayer to John Paul II for intercession:
O Blessed Trinity, we thank you for having graced the church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendor of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him. Trusting fully in your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you. Grant us, by his intercession, and according to your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints. Amen.

Chari,
I was hoping the news would be better. Has this prevented her music, or is she playing through the pain?
Prayers continuing to come.

Hmmmm......Janet, and it has only taken me many moons to return here
Janet, I always meant to thank you privately AND publicly for this prayer request, but I never got around to it.......please forgive my neglect and rudeness, and know how much I appreciate your efforts on Anne-with-an-E's behalf
I am bumping this up because unfortunately, Anne is almost in the same boat she was in about a year ago, with no improvement in sight........it has been 18 months already
Here is what her summer looks like: this weekend she returns to the Bay Area for treatment with her favorite chiropractor, the one that helped her to heal almost completely last fall....
............while there she will take the CA HS proficieny exam.....she is worried about the math portion
.....then a few days with Willa and family (lucky girl! ).......and then a week at Girls' State..........where she is absolutely scared to death to go to........she is sure she will not physically handle it.......but her father really wants her to "suck it up" and go.
Then, if it works out well, Willa and some of her kids will bring her back home and stay for a brief visit........while her other best friend from Virginia (Laureen's dd) arrives with hubby and baby for a visit.
After that, I guess we will take her to a fasting center to see if it will improve her health. I went to the same place for a medical problem not too dissimilar that I had suffered from for two years........and was cured within 4 months of fasting. So, my dh has wanted her to go since this started.
It just happens to be the same doctor who was there when I was there.......only 20 years older
He was so great on the phone.......he and Anne had a good chat. He said he was not sure that a fast would cure her.........but that it was worth a try after all we HAVE done......and that maybe it might break the cycle. He also wondered if there was some autoimmune factor we were missing. He will have the resident MD look over her records, too.
....there is more to her summer.........but the above is what we need the prayers for......
especially that she gets good relief from her chiropractic health
that she past her exam
that she have safe travels
that she does well at Girls' State.......and LIKES it, too!
that she enjoy her visits with her best friends
that we CAN get her into the fasting center
.....and, that she be healed.
And, of course, that we know God's will..........and have the patience and strength to do it
gotta go study!
Thanks for your prayers! You have mine!

Hey, Jenn.........she occasionally plays through the pain.........but not often. She was planning to play one page of a piece at the recital this year.....but she got too physically ill to even go watch her siblings and student perform
She was heartbroken.
Thanks for the continued prayers and the interest.

You are SO sweet, Leonie........yep, she is pretty lovely.......but she HATES it when I tell her....or others THAT
so, I always am looking for other adjectives for her ........esp for the Christmas newsletter!
And, no, Donna Marie.......they do not yet know what is wrong with her
good night!

Oh, Chari, praying for your daughter.
Have you had her checked for Lyme yet? All the symptoms you've mentioned sound suspiciously like elusive Lyme Disease. It took forever for my friend with LD to have it diagnosed---and all her symptoms were like your daughers--- but she is doing so, so much better now.
Praying in FL, Kelly

I feel a bit of kinship to Anne, as her aspirations and dreams were so similar to mine at her age. I was the oldest of 7, homeschooled in high school, played piano, wanted to teach piano. I'm sure I wasn't as talented as Anne, but my heart aches when I hear these updates.
Did she ever have a round of antibiotics during this struggle? Like Kelly said, we had a woman here who suffered so much, was all natural health, never antibiotics and such. When they finally convinced her that it was Lyme and to go on a round of antibiotics, it was like night and day with her cure.
Chari,

Dear Chari,
I am praying for Anne. My dd Lydia (16) will keep her in her prayers also. She really likes Anne's newsletter "Our Hearts in His Hands". I'm sure you know it but you have a very special daughter.

We'll double our prayers for Anne and all of her ordeals (well except for visiting with Willa!) this summer.

Is Anne any closer to finding answers? Still praying here. We're having a holy hour on Friday - so especially remember you then - placing your intentions before the Sacred Heart of Jesus
