Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes! The sonogram was precipitated by an emergency room visit. Hyperemesis has settled in for a nice long stay. In a way, the nausea is comforting. I could do without the vomiting. My veins, battered by chemotherapy, refused to cooperate with rehydration efforts. All this to say, when I'm vertical,I'm sick  . There are no lengthy posts in my immediate future .But I'm reading in short spurts and thanking God for the community of good and holy women I find here. God bless you all!

Congratulations Elizabeth! I recommended a prenatal in Alice's baby thread. It takes the edge off the ms and for me, was the difference between throwing up or not. What a lovely 40th birthday gift you have recieved.

Hugs and happy prayers coming your way. 
Assurance: I had this happen with my second pregnancy...Kayleigh Paige. I had severe bleeding at 6 or 8 weeks (can't remember) and went in for a sonogram. They were sure I had lost the baby. Kayleigh's little heart was just a fluttering but, nearby was an empty sack.
Kayleigh often thinks of that possibility, of having had a twin. It's a sweet thought for her...and me too
