Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi! My name is Janine. I live in VA with my husband of 9 years and our 5 children ds's 7,5 and 2 and our twin dd's 3. About 3 months after the girls were born I came back to the church after being away about 20 years. My husband was baptized and confirmed during the following Easter vigil. We are trying our best to make up for lost time. I look forward to learning as much as I can. I've learned so much already through lurking for several months.

Welcome all! Hey Janine, we are in a similar boat - We have ages 8G, 7B, 5G, 2 year old twin boys (they'll be 3 in Dec) and a boy due in Feb! Are your twins 3 or 3 months old? Always fun to see another mother of twins with other little ones!      Peace and love!

I guess my intro was kind of confusing .
My girls are 3 years old now. My youngest son is 2 years old.
Thanks for the welcome.
This is my first time trying to quote. I hope it works!

Hi, everyone!

My name is Collette. I'm a homeschooling mom of 4 children (plus 1 blessing in heaven); ages 10, 7, 2 & 6mos. We've been homeschooling "from the beginning" so this is my 7th official year, counting pre-K. We use an eclectic mix of curriculum...mostly inspired by Charlotte Mason and the book Real Learning by Elizabeth Foss.

I originally found this forum by googling for information about using the Liturgical calendar at home, and also for using the Liturgy of the Hours with children. I was surprised to find that many of the ladies who post here are also the writers of blogs that I've been reading for a long time! And although online networking (esp. through forums) is new for me...I guess I'm usually more of a *lurker*... I figured it is time to join in the discussions and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

Welcome all! New poster here also. Mostly a lurker, but I'll try to come out of the shadows. Blessings, Becky

Hi I am reintroducing myself. I started off a Charlotte Mason/ classical education Fan, became sleep deprived with a new baby and overwhelmed and put my kids in school, and then took them out again, and then put them in after getting overwhelmed again, (b/c of having a child with a medical emergency and a new baby too), and then took I them out again.

We had a great school year last year (in public school of all things), and then after a few disturbing incidents at the beginning of this year, and some prompting by the Holy Spirit, I knew there was no other way but to pull them out and homeschool.

I enjoyed meeting some of you a few years ago in Abbeville at the conference you put together.

Currently, we are homeschooling our 9,7, and 6 year olds, and we have a 3 year old and an 8 month old as well.
