Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi everyone,
My name is Christy, and I have been lurking for six months or so. My husband of 6 years and I have three children, though our family is still waiting for the third one to join us all on the outside (sometime in the next month, we hope!). Our oldest, a daughter, is 4.5 and our son is almost 3, and they're very excited about the baby.

We've only been homeschooling (gentle preschool for both, loosely on the Alphabet Path) since last fall. Our daughter has one of those on-the-cusp fall birthdays, so currently we're trying to discern whether preschool or kindergarten is right for her next year... or whether it needs a label at all, she's such a voracious learner!

I'm looking forward to getting to know this community better.

My name is Rachel. I'm a Catholic home schooling mom to a whole bunch of amazing boys (ages 12yrs, 9yrs, 4.5yrs, almost 3yrs, and 14mo). We are in our 5th year of home schooling and love it. We use a bunch of different things...MODG, Seton, Apologia and other random things I find. I've been lurking here off and on for about 5mo and have gotten some wonderful ideas.

Hi, my name is Erin, and I have two girls: Caroline will be five in March, and Cecilia just turned two. I have been married to my hubby for eight years, and he joined the Catholic Church in 2003 after being raised in the Southern Baptist denomination. I'm a cradle Catholic, the oldest of four in my family, and my "baby" brother is a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Atlanta - and I am so excited about that!!!

We plan to begin homeschooling in the fall when Caroline will be Kindergarten age, and I am wanting to do the Alphabet Path with her, but otherwise I haven't decided what path to take other than to go slowly and gently with Kindergarten. I would love to learn from more experienced homeschooling moms!

Just had to jump in and say hello to everyone.

My name is Emily, married for 14 years and have *only* four children, ds12, dd10, ds8 and dd5 (almost 6). Yes we managed that well (boy, girl, boy, girl )

Been homeschooling from the beginning and we do use a bit of this, that and the other things as well !!

We are from Australia and my oldest two are enrolled in Kolbe. Although we don't follow it to the letter.

C'est moi - in a nutshell.

My name is Shelly. My husband Adam and I have been together almost 21 years and have been married for almost 16 years. We have three little girls who are 10, 8 and 6. We have been homeschooling for 4 years. We have used a variety of things, but I tend to refer to us as classically eclectic. I have been lurking here for awhile, so I figured I should probably introduce myself!

Hello! My name is Krista, I am mother to Bud (5 1/2), Monkey (4), Sweet Pea (20 mos), and Baby #4 (due mid-June).

I have been homeschooling for several years already, but I think I have been going about it the wrong way this whole time. Instead of being gentle and leaving them asking for more, I was taking the "if a little is good, a lot is better" approach.

Another forum member, Martha, has been a great mentor to me in helping me move past the error of my ways and towards achieving actual home education in a peaceful environment. Thanks, Martha! ;)

So I am completely re-thinking my approach and re-writing my 'curriculum'. I have found this forum to be very helpful with both.

Thank you, ladies!

Hello kind ladies and fellow mothers!!! My name is Amy and I have been blessed with 5 beautiful children ages 8, 6, 4, 2, and 9 months and have been homeschooling three years...officially anyway!

I've visited here on and off over the years and know that this community will bless me as children's uniqueness blossoms and planning becomes more diverse with more need for prayer and wise counsel from others.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this fine group of mothers who seek Christ first!

Hello, My Name is Summer. We have been homeschooling for 6 years now. My eldest dd is in 6th grade followed by ds in 4th, dd in 1st, dd in prek, a tornado of a 2 year old ds, and a sweet baby boy. I have been a long, long time lurker and thought it was really time to join the community.

I love reading all of the great post and blogs from the various mom. So inspirational!
