oh another thing.. I have a friend who's children act up horribly because of.. allergies. Not sure what, but there's tons of things out there.. food allergies, dust, molds, etc. Probably something she'd breathe or eat rather than contact (that's usually rashy).

Eva, I am going to look for that book. Is this the one that advertises on the radio? I never thought I would need it, but I need something! |

I'm not sure if it has been advertised on the radio, but I skimmed the book in the library and thought that many points the author made actually make sense. He's not black and white and doesn't promote spanking (with some rare exceptions). It should be a quick read.
I actually read Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours by the same author and liked it.

And allergies (or intolerances, which are sometimes harder to spot) could tie in really well with the speech thing.

Yes, I agree with the allergies. Here's a great book I've learned a lot from: Is This Your Child?.

No advice, just commiserating.
The twins are now 2 1/2 going on three, and I swear...there are times, that the Gypsies look like a good option.
Of course, I've had two of my other children, get into the Vaseline..hair...floor..carpet..bedding..bed..dresser...yeah . You get the idea. They were a bit younger than the boys are now, but oh my...crazy.
I did actually offer the oldest off to the highest bidder among a couple of my sisters-in-law...no takers...lol. Of course I was also in my last trimester with dd#2 (and in the case with #2 getting into the Vaseline, I was in the last trimester with #3).
Today? We've had an incursion into the sunroom pantry, a broken quart jar of sweet pickle relish, some shampoo smeared on the floor, and that's the best of the day. They've learned how to flip their double dresser (yes, I know we need to bracket/brace it onto the floor), and still enjoy ripping their clothes off and flinging their diaper contents everywhere...yes. It is so much fun.
I know that the good Lord has a reason for giving me an unexpected BOGO. I'm just trying to follow the plan...but these are interesting days indeed...
