If it's not one thing it's another.
Last week I had what appeared to be a milk blister on my breast. Tonight when I tried to nurse, dd threw a hissy fit and wouldn't go back on the breast. When I turned the light on I saw why...I was bleeding from the nipple. And not just a little bit either.
Please pray for me! 1) that the doctor is able to see me tomorrow....I'm in so much pain! and 2) that I'm able to still continue breast feeding. I never thought I'd breast feed my children but I enjoy it so much. Even when it hurts!
I don't know what's wrong but it's a little scarey to see blood coming out where only milk is! I was going to try to pump but am afraid and sore

Jen,
Maybe someone has already pm'ed you with this, but you could call someone from La Leche League or a lactation specialist and get some immediate help from them! I've called both and have been so helped when facing a challenge to breastfeeding! Thanks be to God for these amazing women who assist mothers when breastfeeding!
In any case, I am definitely praying for you, Jen!

Praying, Jen. I scabbed badly with some of mine and dreaded nursing through that. I did make it and it did get easier but it was painful! I understand. Wish I'd known about La Leche League at the time! I am sure that they can help you. Praying it gets better. Try not to stress or your milk won't let down as easily.

Thank you all so much. I've been in contact with a few people today trying to help. Still no resolution though. Although no more blood. I also haven't been nursing on that side (I've been pumping) as I'm afraid to do it while I'm home alone. My dh will be home soon so we'll try it then (I'm afraid it'll hurt too bad that I'll either "throw" the baby off or get really woozy....I don't do so well with pain.)
On top of these issues the poor baby has been so so so gassy today. She hasn't wanted to be put down and all she wants is to be bounced. She's in the swing at the moment seeming happy for a few minutes thankfully!

Oh my... I hope and pray this clears up quickly for you.
I also second (or third?) what some others said about La Leche League. That organization has helped me numerous times and always very willing to be of assistance.
Peace, Jody

Praying for you, Jen. I all to well remember those first few months learning to nurse with my first one...very stressful at times--but sooo worth it...hang in there and I would get a lactation consultant to come to your home ASAP for help with positioning and to see how the baby is latching on, etc...
You're doing great!!
