My very dear friend Lauren just called me in tears from the hospital. Her newborn baby boy, John is having a very difficult time breathing.
His big sister (2) just came down with the Swine flu and it looks like he caught it. She says he is in nasal distress and is retracting with no real improvement over the last 3 days.
He was born in the beginning of December and started out life being life-flighted to this hospital as he swallowed meconium and had a hard time of that for awhile. I know she is very fearful and yet knows the power of prayers....
Please pray for little John White and his mom Lauren and dad Dave and his little sister who is having a hard time without her mother.

Update 1/5
Lauren and the baby came home this afternoon!! She tells me that they weaned him off oxygen last night and he is holding his own so they sent him home. They told Lauren to expect that things would get worse before they got better, but things just got better and she credits your prayers for the wonderful improvement. Please continue to pray for baby John, he is still very fragile and they have to keep a close eye on him.
