It looks as if he might have Cystic Fibrosis. They are doing more blood work to confirm it. I spoke to Bob this morning and he said they have already had a miracle. Please continue to storm heaven for his full recovery. This is such a beautiful family. Thank you so mcuh for all your prayers.

Saw Bob at Mass this morning and he had good and bad news.
The good news-last night William's vital signs all took a significant turn for the better and he is continuing to gain a bit of weight. They were so happy with his improvement that they are allowing Kim to bring him home today, even though yesterday they were saying Monday at the earliest.
The bad news-he tested positive for cystic fibrosis. In case it is a false positive, they need to take him back in on Monday to be re-tested. They had thought it unlikely because in order for him to have it both Bob and Kim would have to be carrying it as a recessive gene. If that is the case then they said it would have been likely for 1 out of every 4 of their children to have it. Since William is #9, the other 8 are all fine, and no one knows of it on either side of the family, it seems remote, but that is what they seem to be thinking right now.
So please thank God for his blessing of allowing them to come home and keep him (and family) in your prayers, esp. when he returns for testing on Monday.
Bob and Kim are convinced that they are what caused William's improvement---and their continued sanity!
