Please pray for a friend of mine. When she was out driving tonight, she hit a jaywalker. I don't know much except that there was a pool of blood on the street, a head injury, and the man was rushed off to the hospital. Please pray that my friend will feel peace-- she's in quite a state. And also pray for the man who was hit-- that he will recover quickly.

Thank you-- I'll keep you updated as I know more!

UPDATE

As of Christmas Eve morning, the man who was hit is in critical condition in the hospital. My friend is having a rough time. Authorities say it was not her fault, but that is giving her little peace at this time. Continued prayers all around are appreciated.

***UPDATE 1/13***

Thank you all for your prayers. Here's what we know now: the entire thing was videotaped from a nearby pharmacy's security cameras. My friend has been cleared of any fault.

The man is middle-aged and has one adult child. He was heavily intoxicated and walking down the street when he stepped into the (very busy) road. He is still in the hospital and has had to undergo brain surgery. Doctors say he will live but do not know what kind of life he will be able to lead. Continued prayers for him and his family are most appreciated. This is just so very sad.

This is terrible...will pray for both. There are so many jaywalkers here in so Cal, and I am always afraid when I drive. So sad for both.
