The steroids seem to be helping the swelling and pain quite a bit--this is a two edged sword, because the specialist said if I have this type of reaction to them,(good results) it is time to get much more aggressive in the treatment of the RA and get more indepth testing for lupus....

I'm glad that you're feeling better, but sorry to hear it means more meds. I am praying that you don't have lupus, that you continue to feel better, and (from your other request), that your husband gets better soon too!

Blast! Sure makes it hard to get excited over the assistance these meds are providing! Still, I'm relieved that you are experiencing relief, and if you need it, I'm giving you permission to be joyful, happy and content right in this moment! Tomorrow will bring its own issues. Today, I'm so happy that Joann has less pain and swelling!
I'll keep praying, Joann!!!
