You are such a good mother with a generous and tender heart. Our Lord sees the great love within your heart for your son, even if your son is blind to this love right now. And, remember, many a saint has been nurtured through the fidelity of their mother's prayers for them, in spite of all manner of frightening and disheartening circumstances. I will ask St. Monica and St. Augustine to be yours and your son's special advocates and intercessors.

Strength to you, dear Carole. This fight is not for the faint of heart. Stay strong. Keep praying. I'll continue sending you my prayers as you fight for your son!

Carole, I have been reading and praying although I haven't posted until now. God's plan is so mysterious...so, so mysterious...yet, as others have wisely noted, this doesn't mean we're terrible mothers...just that we're mothers who are being asked to suffer, to surrender, and to be faithful. That you have done very well, my friend .
