just saw this and am sending prayers! Your poor son! My 19yods is the family athlete and has had injuries that affected his ability to play for a season or two. It was like living with a caged tiger! We just concentrated on the academics, looking at it as a time that God wanted his focus in another area. NOT easy! But that was how we tried to deal with it.

Ds is back from the orthopedic dr. and we received no new bad news. He will continue to be in a brace for 4 weeks and will be checked again at that time to, hopefully, get cleared for PT. We had his other knee checked out and - good news - no tear there. We were concerned that he had the makings of a similar injury there.
