Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for your prayers. After 6 hours in surgery the Doctors were finally able to get the bleeding to stop and sew her up. We have between 9-12 pints of blood in us and she lost 9 pints. She was transferred from the surgery room to intensive care last night, and was given sleep medication so as not to gag on the tubing. Fortunately they tested her, and it looks like her blood cells are reproducing, but she did start hemorrhaging again and is being given more blood units.
Dora was supposed to go in for the cesarean on Monday, but her water broke and she immediately went in yesterday. I don't know the exact details, but it looks like the placenta had attached itself to some of her organs and when they took the baby out, it caused some damage.
Please continue to keep her in your prayers. I know almighty God is listening to our petitions. They have already lost 1 baby at 8 months because of a knot in the umbilical cord, and then lost my 7 year old nephew 2 years ago from a brain tumor. She held him in her arms as he went to meet Jesus and took his last breath in the comfort of their home with all of his brothers and sisters. When their 19 month old twins were born with DS, they were in the hospital for months and it was a very trying time for them as well. The twins are still very fragile and susceptible to being hospitalized because of a cold, etc.. The new baby is doing well, besides possibly having a cist on his kidney.
Their oldest daughter is 24 and an absolute blessing. All she wants to ever do is be at home to help her mother with the little one's.
Thank you so much for having the charity to pray for her and the family. May God Bless you for it, and I will definitely keep you posted as to any updates, which God willing will get better.
