I'm so sorry to hear this, Mary. I will pray for this dear priest in his final hours. May Our Lady be with him and pray for him now, and at the hour of his death.

It is my sad duty to announce that my close, personal friend of 44 years, Rev. James G. Dull, passed to his eternal reward on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 4:10 p.m. in Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC following a ten day coma from which he never awakened. His passing was preceded by a prayer vigil during which his life sustaining systems were removed. Bishop Burbidge, Monsignor David Brockman, Vicar General, and four other brother priests, along with his brother and sister participated. He looked serene and happy, and was beloved by everyone who knew him. Please remember him in your prayers. God bless you.

Mary and all-
Fr. Dull will be buried at my parish in the special priests' section tomorrow afternoon. If at all possible, I will be there and I can send you some pictures later of his final resting place.
Sadly, there is another funeral in the morning for a young parishoner who died in a car crash on Sunday so it's going to be a very sad day at our parish. The young man's funeral is at 11 am. So my wonderful parish will need some extra prayers tomorrow as we process all this sorrow...
