Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

You might also want to use a red that has a blue undertone to it.. just over that line moving toward purple but still so close to red that it's only red.. vs the reds that are over that line toward orange without yet being orange red. It's cooler red.

I put red in ours (the only place it could go was up near the ceiling, where we have a plate rail going all the way around...but it breaks up the space from the white cabinets, floor, countertops, and backsplash...and the ceiling.

I cannot remember the shade right off of the top of my head, but let me look it up real quickly...

Richly Red, by Waverly. It isn't too blue, it isn't too yellow.   Seriously.

I'd recommend just spending the $ and getting one of those paint samples. It is enough to try out a color, without it being too much. Simply primer over it, when you make your decision. Believe me, it is worth it to just spend $10 now, over buying primer and paint and getting it all up and realizing you hate it.

Since we don't have a lot of the red in our kitchen, I've brought it in in accessories, in the toile curtain over the window, etc. I also try to keep the counters are open as I can, since too much red (or any dark shade) will tend to close in a place...

our kitchen is "bee pollen" with blue and white accents (think Delft). But I've seen lovely red with blue and white accents in all sorts.

The right color will just speak to you. Keep looking and the right thing will fall into your lap. Good luck Cay!
