Thank you everyone for you prayers and concern. It was a rough day. What started out as a celebration for my husband's promotion turned into something really, really scary. We had heard from a friend there was an incident because he, as a doctor, was called back to the hospital. We never could've predicted that it was an ongoing incident. We almost got stuck out there in the open on Fort Hood. I ran a red light and bolted through the gate. They closed it right after I drove through. All of our guardian angels were watching out for us.

My poor husband was locked down for 6 hours; It took him 2 1/2 hours to get home after they were all released.

Praying for the souls of those killed, for the healing of the wounded, and for all of the families. How devastating!

Praying for you, too, KC. I can't even imagine how terrifying the experience was.

Wow, KC. I read your blog and it just sent shivers down my spine. I also read about the female cop who took him out, what bravery. Why was this guy even allowed on base?
