Just thought it might be a fun thread. I was thinking about how our 14-month-old now says "Gaga" to a picture of her late grandfather. She also says "Gaga" (Grandma, either one) when she sees us on the phone. She also has identified my mother and a white-haired complete stranger in a photo as Gaga, as well as an elderly Fisher-Price lady we have 
We have always just used Grandma for both grandmothers (and Grandpa for the one who died when our sons were 6 and 3. My father died long before they were born.)
The only grandparent I knew died when I was 4. She was called Grandma. My siblings never knew either grandfather, but I think they also called our other grandmother Grandma.
My husband called the grandparents he knew Grandfather and Grandmother/Granny.

My mother, who is German, is called Oma. My father is deceased, but referred to as Opa (German, but he wasn't German).
FIL is called Big Pappa and his wife is called by her first name...we have to remind our kids she wants to be called Nana.
MIL is called Gramma and her DH is called Grandpa.

We've taken to using "grandma firstname" and "grandpa firstname".
Except for my grammy.. my mom's mom was always called Grammy and my kids (the ones that can remember her or not) refer to her as Grammy and her dh (mom's dad) as Grampy though they never met him.
And also except for Dh's mom's mom.. she's Grammita (spanish pronunciation.. -ita ending for small tagged onto english Grammy or Grandma)
The only real "problem" with this system is that dh's dad's mom and my dad's mom were both Mary  but since neither one is with us and they're not a huge part of most conversations it's easy enough to explain which one is meant.
Now that's usually when refering to them.. when we're with them.. they're just "Grandma and Grandpa".

My folks are called Nanny and Papa....
My husband's folks are called Grandma and Grandpa.

My parents are Dee Dee (my mom) and Pa (my dad). That is how ds pronounced them when little (my dad did coach him a little )and they stuck. My kids are the only grandkids and it is funny my siblings now lovingly call our parents Dee Dee and Pa, too.
Dh's parents are grandma and grandpa.

My parents are Oma and Opa (German) Tony's parents are Gramma and Grampa. Mark has taken to calling his mom Gammy though.

My mum is Marnie (she was 42 when she became a Grandma so came up with this name)
Actually her sisters go by unusual grandmother names too, must be a family thing. They are Dharma and Lena.
My children call my mum's new husband Timba (his name is Tim)
Dh's parents are more traditional with Grandma and Pa.
My father was Grandad.

- we just returned today from a visit to Amuma and Jaja - those are my parents and are ethnic names. Amuma is Basque for grandmother and Jaja (really dzia dzia) is Polish for grandpa, but we didn't know how to spell it when we started calling him that. Paternal grandparents are Avo which is Portuguese for grandfather and then just "grandma" as there was no specific ethnicity. I grew up calling my maternal grandparents by the Basque names and was why I wanted the ethnic names for grandparents if possible. I think that is neat for the kids. None of the other grandkids on my dh's side call him by the ethnic Portuguese name, but on my side we had the first grandkids so we set the tone for everybody and it stuck with my parents.

We have sometimes differentiated the Grandmas by location:[City] Grandma and [City] Grandma; neither lives in our area. And I think in the past my older son has addressed letters to them that way, but for the most part nowadays I think the boys just figure out which Grandma is meant from context, and directly address them both as just Grandma.

My MIL is from Ireland and requested to be called Nana. My FIL is called Papa.
My mom is just plain old Grandma. My father is deceased, but would have been called Granddad.
Interestingly enough, my youngest dd does not like to say Nana. She calls both of them "Grandma" (she just turned 3 today), and she gets them confused all the time on the phone, i.e. "Was that you or my other Grandma who sent me the red dress?" LOL

Fun thread
My mom- Grandma; My dad- Granddad or Granddaddy
DH's mom- Grandma "first name"
The spouses of these three are called by first name
Dh's dad- is not living but we refer to him as Grandpa first name
My kids have also been privileged to know great grandparents too all on dh's side- only one still living.
We have Grandma "last name" -but funny thing is it's not even her last name anymore... she remarried after her first husband passed at least 15 year ago and has a new last name- but not a new grandma name
Then we had Granny and Pop-pop (Dh called them Grandmom and Grandpop but names changed with great grandchildren)
Gosh, that's a long answer... we have lots of grandparents in our lives

My mom's parents (my Oma and Opa) are great-oma and great-opa to my children despite the mixing of languages

My mom is Grandma Mary, my stepdad is just Lenny, although sometimes my oldest will call him B-Pa which is what his grandkids call him. My dad is Grandpa Gary.
Dh's dad is Grandpa Grandpa (why grandpa twice, no one knows ) and his mom is just Grandma.

Myy children call my dad Grandpa last name and my step-mom a twist on her name Annie, they call her Nannie. My dh's dad was called Pop-Pop.
I loved my great-grandparents titles:
Mama Julia and Papa Simon (pronounced see-moan)

Great thread 
We had a very unique problem when my oldest was born. All four of my grandparents were still alive!!! ( I know that is truly one of my biggest blessings  ) So with that, all the Spanish names for grandparents were taken! (I am Cuban- American) My grandparents are Pa and Yayi and Abuelo and Abuela.
We had to come up with new names for my side's grandparents. My Mom became Nonna (Italian, but the kids pronounce it No-nna) and my dad became Abu. My DH's parents are Grandpa and Grandma.
Yayi and Abuelo has since passed away but I am so very thrilled that my own "Abuelo" and "Yayi" will always have a place in my kids hearts.

My parents: Mimi and Poppi
Husband's parents: Grandma and Grandpa.
Our grandchildren call us Baba and Goompah (oldest granddaughter came up with the names).
I called my maternal grandparents, G-ma and G-pa; paternal were Grandma and Grandpa.
I really love the unique names for grandparents everyone has shared, esepcially the ethnic ones.

Great thread!
I like the ethnic names a lot, but unfortunately in our home, my parents told me they wanted to be called Granny and Granddaddy (we had the first grandchilren on my side of the family). We also have a Great Granny, but the dc have not seen her in years.
My mil went by mom-mom, but our dc call her G'ma. My fil is deceased, but we just refer to him as G'pa.
I had a friend whose children called their grandparents Maunga and Tata. It was just what her son said, and it stuck. I always thought that was so clever.
